About the cruise
What you'll see in one hour
Our most popular hourly route starts at Náplavka, next to the Kayak Beach Bar. First we cruise past Vyšehrad, where we turn back toward the city. We pass under the railway bridge, along Prague's Náplavka to the Dancing House. Here we wait to pass through the historic Mánes lock, which helps us overcome a 130 cm drop, and reach Slavic Island, admire the National Theatre, Shooters' Island and the panorama of Charles Bridge with Prague Castle.
Important: the Mánes lock only operates 10:00–19:00, so the one-hour cruise must always depart at :45 (10:45, 11:45, … last 18:45).

Meet at Náplavka
We meet by the Kayak Beach Bar on Náplavka. The boat is moored on the opposite bank at Smíchov harbour — you'll spot her cruising over. If you arrive early, grab a drink at Kayak Beach Bar or use the public restrooms nearby.

Vyšehrad
First we cruise past the Vyšehrad fortress with the Gothic Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul perched above the steep cliff. Many legends surround Vyšehrad — the most famous tells of Princess Libuše, who from this rock prophesied the rise of Prague: "I see a great city whose glory will touch the stars." According to another beloved Czech legend, the loyal horse Šemík leapt from these very ramparts with his master Horymír to save him from execution.

Prague Náplavka
Náplavka is a beloved riverside promenade along the Vltava, famous for its cafés, bars, farmers' markets and lively waterfront atmosphere. The round glass vaults set into the embankment originally stored goods shipped into Prague by river. Today they house galleries, cafés, cultural spaces and venues for concerts and exhibitions.

Dancing House
An iconic 1990s landmark by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry and Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić, nicknamed "Fred and Ginger" after the famous dancing duo. Its two intertwined towers — one glass, one stone — represent dancers in motion and rank among Prague's most celebrated works of deconstructivist architecture.

Mánes Lock
We pass through the historic Mánes navigation lock, which carries us over the Šítka weir — one of the oldest surviving weirs on the Vltava, dating back to the Middle Ages. We descend 130 cm to reach Slavic and Shooters' Islands. This stretch of the Vltava is among the most picturesque in central Prague, with views of the National Theatre, Charles Bridge, Kampa and Prague Castle. The lock operates 10:00–19:00, which is why every hourly cruise departs at :45.

National Theatre
A symbol of Czech culture and the National Revival, built thanks to public donations as the "Golden Chapel of the Nation." The view from the Vltava is one of the finest in Prague — the majestic historic building, its gilded roof and the panorama of the Old Town.

Old Town Water Tower
On the way back we pass the Old Town Water Tower next to Novotného lávka. This historic Prague tower supplied the Old Town with Vltava water for centuries. A great spot for a photo from the deck.

Charles Bridge & Prague Castle
The final panoramic view — Charles Bridge and Prague Castle on the horizon. The best photo of the cruise. To the left you'll also spot the Petřín lookout tower. We continue along Shooters' Island, weave between the pedal boats and slowly head back through Mánes lock to Náplavka.
